A Hurricane Tablet To Launch By Hewlett-Packard

Companies are eager to develop a strong competitor for Apple’s popular iPad.

Last month, Hewlett-Packard acquired Palm and its operating system, webOS. Its been rumored that HP will be launching its webOS-powered tablet code in the first quarter of 2011.  Engadget got reports from a reliable source, that HP Senior VP, Todd Bradley, presented the new device at an employee meeting on Monday.

The tablet is referred as the “Hurricane.” It comes as no surprise since HP has previously announced that the Palm acquisition will bring a number of new products, including tablets, smart phones, and printers.

If true, HP will be producing three different tablets running on three different operating systems, all in hopes to gain market share in the tablet industry. The prospective tablets are: HP Slate 500 with Windows 7, eStation Zeen with Android, and “Hurricane” running on webOS.

With RIM possibly releasing their own tablet before the year ends, it'll be interesting to see which tablet will be able to compete alongside the iPad?

It's Time to Print in the Cloud!

I'm a big fan of cloud computing, like Google Docs, since it allows me to work from anywhere around the world and still have access to my files. Now, 'the cloud' has entered into the world of printers, with HP introducing the Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer.

I can be on vacation in Hawaii and still be able to print photos off my home printer. This would be perfect for your mom who always like to show-off photos of you to her friends. HP's new cloud printer won't need you worry about any connectivity issues between the printer and computer. Plus, you can even print from your favorite gadgets such as your iPad, smartphones, netbooks, etc.

How does this really work, you ask? Every HP ePrinter will have a specific email address, for you to email, in order to print the photo. If you want to print off your smartphone, make sure to download the HP ePrint mobile app.
