Online Attacks Disguised as Michael Jackson Photos

Security company F-Secure is warning people to be on the look out for malware disguised as photos, videos, and even music from the late Michael Jackson.
The malware is originating on several sites, and includes a self-distributing bot with backdoor capabilities. This infection will then mass e-mail a worm to your contacts list and the malware will continue to spread.

Twitter at the age of four-ish finally has the notoriety it deserves this past Easter weekend. The social networking site was in the mainstream news because a 17-year-old, Mike Mooney, claims to have developed a worm that could be passed through JavaScript on Twitter’s service. Malware? Spyware? - what was the damage of this latest attack? Money? Blackmail? – what was the motivation of this latest attack? The answers – neither neither.
