Once a year I get to go to 'My Show' - The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Every year I walk thousands of feet through 2500 exhibitors in the hunt for what I think will be the most exciting technologies of 2010. I am pleased to say that this year was no disappointment. The show was simply awesome. Here are a few of the things that I would call my favourites:

Favourite Gadgets

  • Parrot AR.Drone – An augmented reality flying helicopter you control with your iPhone. You can even battle against your friends Drone.
  • Lego Universe – One of this year's most anticipated video games, in Lego Universe you will be able to build your own Lego objects and use them in the game.

Favourite Booth: Samsung

Favourite Mobile Phones

  • Xperia X10 – iPhone Killer? Sony Ericsson is counting on it. Canada is the first to get the device world-wide and will be exclusive to Rogers.
  • Google Nexus One – Not really announced at CES – but definitely one of the coolest 2010 devices thus far.
  • Palm Pre Plus – This phone has the ability to broadcast a WiFi signal that 5 computers can use for highspeed.
  • Motorola Backflip – Android phone that won a CNET award. Has a keyboard on the back that flips around to give you a good sized keyboard.

Honourable Mention

  • Lenovo IdeaPad U1 – An Intel processor laptop that has a screen that can detach and turn into a Linux based tablet PC.
  • Ford Sync System – In-car technology gives you control using your voice or steering wheel to access your phone, music player, and other vehicle operations. Settings can be customized for each operator for climate, seat position, and even the colour lighting of cup holders.
