My Picks For Bluetooth Devices

We have been receiving a fair number of e-mails lately regarding the recent law changes in British Columbia requiring drivers to use a hands free device if they wish to talk on their cellphone while driving.
Personally I don't like the in-ear Bluetooth headsets. I feel weird wearing one, and really, don't have anything that private I'm worried others will hear. So I've put together a list of some of the top devices around that can keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road without resorting to wearing those uncomfortable headsets.
Motorola T325 (Top Pick)
I picked this bluetooth speakerphone for my car. This device from Motorola is easy to use and reasonably priced. Some of its highlight features are listed below.
- Auto off feature - When you leave your car, it turns itself off to extend the battery life for when you really need it
- Big, simple, buttons so you can keep your eyes on the road
- Pair it to multiple devices, so everyone in your family can be paired with the speakerphone when they are driving
- Under $100 at most stores
A couple other devices worth looking into:
This device is a little more expensive than the Motorola T325 but has the nice feature of being truly handsfree. You can say "Answer" and the SuperTooth will answer the phones without laying a finger on the speakerphone. Moreover, it has text-to-speech capability will announce your caller ID out to you too, so that you'll know who's calling without looking at your phone.
This Bluetooth speakerphone takes a slightly different approach by streaming your calls through your car stereo. This also means if you have a device with lots of music like an iPhone you can stream your music over the car speakers too. The cruiser comes in around the same price as the Motorola T325. It won't be as easy to find in stores, but is available via the web.
Like I mentioned, I picked the Motorola T325, but all these devices would be a good choice and remember, even if it may seem like a "stupid law", but it is going to save lives, so do your part!
