Legal Movie Downloads Coming to Canada
By Eddy Wedlund on Jul 2, 2009 at 8:02 AM
Zip.ca (the Canadian online DVD rental service) & CinemaNow (online video solutions company) have joined forces and are working together to figure out the technical details on how to bring on-demand video downloads to Canada.
There is still no word yet on if it will be a monthly subscription or one-off downloads.
Not a lot of details are available yet, but this is a great step in the right direction for on-demand video services in Canada!

downloading movies
Not sure how well this will take off since most internet providers have caps of around 60gigs a month. The reason they do this is because they own the cable companies and satellite companies and want you to rent their pay per view movies.

I have since moved from Ontario where Cogeco had the limits. I am in Halifax using Eastlink and there are no limits well so far anyway.
