iPhone and Other GSM Phones Coming Soon to Telus & Bell?
By Eddy Wedlund on Jun 30, 2009 at 7:24 AM
We've been hearing about it for well over a year now, but it looks like Telus & Bell are closer than ever to rolling out their new GSM network, and it should be up and running some time between this fall and the upcoming 2010 Olympics.
This takes the monopoly currently held by Rogers (and subsidiary Fido) on the GSM market and opens it right up across the country.
There is some speculation that this could mean the iPhone along with other GSM only phones could be coming to a local Telus or Bell store near you.
It will be interesting to see what sort of deals we will see here in Canada when all the cell providers are playing on the same field.
Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
