Get Windows 7 Today!

If you are like me, you might be holding off on your next PC purchase until the October 22 launch of Windows 7. Well you don't have to wait any longer - starting today, many computer stores across Canada including Best Buy and Future Shop announced that if you buy a PC that comes with Windows Vista, you will receive a free upgrade to Windows 7 when it comes out.
For those of you that still need some more time for consideration and those who like to build their own computer systems, you can also pre-order Windows 7 at a special introductory price. The Home Premium version is going for $64.99 and the professional version is going for $124.99, around 50% off of the suggested retail price. Hurry though, because this offer only lasts until July 11, 2009!

I use a Maxtor external harddrive
the program OneTouch4Plus was installed on it and we thought it was backing up our data. However, we discovered that nothing has been recorded since January 09: it is still connected.
I went back to Norton 360 so I could do some sort of back up.....however, I am still not having any backups done.
What am I doing incorrectly? (I am not very computer literate, so a site for written instructions would be helpful. :-)
Karin.
