Facebook Finance Friends

How often do you owe a friend $15 for a theatre ticket or the last round of drinks at the bar? A new app on Facebook is hoping to make your small financial transactions easier.
Buxter is a small funds bank account that allows you to transfer money to your friends via Facebook. Your account can hold no more than approximately $80. The company behind the idea is ClickandBuy that handles online financial transactions for over 13 million account holders around the world.
It's free to transfer money between Buxter accounts but a 1.9% commission fee exists for transfers to other accounts. Buxter currently supports US dollars and Euros with plans for Canadian dollars and sterling accounts possible in about a month.
You can use your Buxter account to buy apps on Facebook too. Christian von Hammel-Bonten, senior vice president at ClickandBuy, predicts that people are ready for this financial extension to their Facebook accounts.
The app is still in its infancy, but it has the hallmarks of a successful app in the making.
