CES 2010 Highlights

CES 2010 opened it's doors to the public on Thursday and the GC Crew is down here checking out some of the amazing technology that consumers can expect in the near future! Here are a few of the highlights from our first evening there:

  • 3D is everywhere at CES this year with most major manufacturers announcing 3D displays
  • Microsoft and HP are teaming up to produce a 12-inch multi-touch tablet Slate PC
  • Microsoft also announced that their motion-sensing Xbox add-on Project Natal will be available to consumers for the 2010 holidays
  • Samsung announced the NX10 hybrid camera. The camera features a DSLR-like interchangeable lens system and a large sensor combined with the smaller body of more compact cameras
  • LG showed off it's new ultra-thin 42-inch LCD display. The television measures in at 2.6mm thick and weighs only 4 kilograms
  • Ford announced MyFord Touch an evolution of it's SYNC system that features a touchscreen panel integrated into the dash allowing drivers control of navigation, climate and audio systems. It'll even connect to the internet via your phone and enable you to turn your car into a Wi-Fi hotspot.

More CES updates coming to the GC Blog soon!
